Real Estate Finance course of study |
Developed by the vdp in collaboration with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (formerly Bankakademie), the Real Estate Finance course of study was first offered in the autumn of 2004. The following modules, which can also be taken individually, are offered: · General introduction to the property markets The individual modules are made available in the form of up-to-date study materials which the participants study during a self-learning phase and are taught at lectures. Thus, training measures are on offer which meet present-day needs and assure professionalism in real estate finance.
During the development of the course, extensive market research revealed that although many training opportunities are available in real estate economics, the specialist skills needed in real estate finance are insufficiently addressed or are not offered at all. Together, vdp and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management closed this training gap. The training opportunities offered here comprise a compact, thematically broad-based yet detailed course of study, making it unique. The extra-occupational course is designed to deal with the subject matter with such depth as to allow also participants already active in the real estate sector to expand their expert knowledge and gain new insights.
The vdp places its expertise at the disposal of authors and lecturers. The vdp’s Immobilienausschuss fine-tuned the curriculum in collaboration with the vdp member institutions, and assessed the right balance of breadth and depth of content. Lecturers and authors received didactic and methodological assistance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. The result is a high-quality course of study that is based on practical experience and at the same time practice-oriented.
The course is open to staff of the vdp member banks and to individuals engaged in the field of real estate finance. It is aimed at academics without professional experience in real estate finance as well as at non-academics who have spent roughly three to five years in this field.
The course of study is set to run about 12 months. |
